What is FactionsChat?

FactionsChat is a Minecraft plugin written in Java for Spigot/Paper servers. It is an optional addon plugin for Factions3 Renewed.

If you're unfamiliar with the concept of Factions, it allows players to join groups (i.e. "factions") and claim land for their group to build a base. It is an anti-griefing system that promotes diplomacy and war, and allows faction leaders to control who can do what in their faction land. Factions can declare wars and forge alliances with other factions, while fighting over land.

This addon plugin allows players to chat within their faction and not be heard by other players, or to chat with faction allies, and more!

This plugin has several configuration options and permissions that it supports. See the Configuration/Permissions tab for more info.

The code for this plugin is open-source and can be found on GitHub. Releases and the Wiki are also found there. If you find bugs, please file an issue on the Issues page there.

Installation

FactionsChat is super easy to install. Simply download the latest .JAR file, then drop that in your plugins folder in your Spigot/Paper server files. Once you've done that, restart your server, then you can configure your permissions plugin of choice to add the permissions. That's it! Configuration

Configuration of FactionsChat is optional. The default configuration works perfectly for most use-cases. However, if you want to make tweaks to your configuration, you can do so by modifying the config.yml file found in FactionsChat plugins folder. For more detailed instructions, visit the Wiki.
