ApplicantStack Bulk Candidate Upload

This webpage allows bulk uploading of ApplicantStack Candidate records en masse using a CSV upload. By using this tool, you can import candidates from a previous ATS system into ApplicantStack and map data fields from the previous system to data fields in ApplicantStack.

  1. To upload candidate records, begin by entering the ApplicantStack Domain information and API Token for the account you're uploading candidates to. The API Access Token can be retrieved from the ApplicantStack account settings page.
  2. Upload the CSV file containing the candidate details. The data should be formatted in a way where each candidate is its own row with each column being a separate field and should have a column header. A few notes to simplify this process:
    • You'll need to create a Job that all the candidates will be uploaded to. Typically it's best to just create a job called "Import" or something similar.
    • First Name and Last Name should be two separate columns.
    • If you need additional fields that don't currently exist in ApplicantStack, create the fields first, then come back to this utility and start the import over.
    • Some fields in ApplicantStack may be required. On the upload step, a list of required field will be provided. Candidate creation will fail if required fields are missing.
  3. Select which field in ApplicantStack each column in your CSV should be imported to.
  4. Choose which Job to upload Candidates to.
  5. Review the import data and confirm it's correct, then submit to begin the import process.

Note: Depending on the number of candidates being imported, the import process may take some time. Please be patient while the import processes.
