TimeWorksPlus Impersonator

This webpage allows logging into an employee's ESS (Employee Self Service) portal, assuming their site allows logging into the ESS portal. It also allows logging into a manager's client/supervisor portal. This functionality can be useful for seeing exactly what individual users are seeing (i.e. logging in as them) for troubleshooting purposes.

Note: For WorkforceHub accounts, the option to sign into TimeWorksPlus will still appear, but you can also log into WorkforceHub. For Manager logins, if the login is not connected to an employee record, the WorkforceHub Impersonation option will not be available.

  1. Choose whether you would like to use the Accountant Level API Secret or the Client Level API Secret. Then enter the corresponding IDs and the secret itself. Once entered, click continue. A few notes about this:
    • The Accountant Level API Secret is found in the Accountant Menu ≫ Accountant Level Secret Management page inside TimeWorksPlus. Only Accountant-level logins and higher can see/access this page.
    • The Client Level API Secret is found in the Settings Menu ≫ Client Level API Secret Management page inside TimeWorksPlus. Only Client-level logins and higher can see/access this page.
    • If the API Secret does not exist, you can generate one using the "Generate" button on that page.
  2. Select which employee or manager you would like to login as from the list that appears, then click continue.
  3. Confirm you selected the correct employee or manager, then click the "Impersonate" button. A new tab will open and you will be logged into the corresponding profile.
